Richard Haisma MFA, CMA - Artistic Director
 
Richard Haisma, artistic director of GEOMANTICS DANCE-THEATER in Rochester, New York,  is a dancer, teacher, choreographer, Certified Movement Analyst (CMA) and  Master of Fine Arts (MFA).  After touring throughout Europe, South America and the Middle East with the Murray Louis Dance Company in the 1970s, and performing with Rudolf Nureyev in Louis’ choreography on Broadway,  he toured  his own solo, evening-long performances throughout Europe and the United States in the 1980s and 90s.  He has been Guest Artist with the Dublin Dance Theatre (Ireland), the Laban Centre (London), York University, Salem State College, Kansas State University, SUNY/Potsdam and many others. He has in recent years been on the dance faculties of the University of Rochester, Hobart and William Smith Colleges and the Laban-Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies, and most recently at Wesleyan University in Connecticut.  Since 2004 he has taught Laban Movement Analysis at SUNY/Brockport. He frequently teaches contemporary dance in cities throughout Italy. In 2004 he was Guest Teacher in Residence at the Venice Biennale. He is the Director of The Rochester School of Kinetics which offers “Visceral Motion Technique (VMT) ™ for all levels.  His company, GEOMANTICS DANCE-THEATER, enjoys performing in unusual spaces for diverse audiences.
 
Curtis W. Stedge - Acting Executive Director
 
Mr. Stedge is a dancer, choreographer, and an administrator.  He has been Associate Director of Box Office Operations for Geva Theatre (NY), Artist Liaison for Community Performance Series (NY), Marketing Administrator of The National Centre for Early Music (York, UK) and Marketing Coordinator for Downstairs Cabaret Theater (NY). He received his Bachelor of Science in Dance and Arts Administration from Potsdam College. While living in York, England he studied modern dance under Juilliard Alumnus Catherine Burge. Mr. Stedge has also studied with Pearson-Widrig Dance Theatre, Elizabeth Streb, Troika Ranch, Ruth Solomon, and Wally Cardona, in the USA. Currently he serves on the Board of Directors for the Old Forge Ballet Co. and The New Conservatory for Classical and Contemporary Dance. He holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Jeffrey  Mehr - Senior Technical Writer - Veeco Instruments Inc.
(Veeco provides metrology and process equipment systems for industry leaders in the semiconductor, data storage, telecm/wireless and scientific/research markets. Veeco regularly flies Jeffrey from Rochester to Long Island, NY to accomplish his work there.) He is Controller for Kinections, a musician-composer and collaborator with Danielle Fraenkel in “Living Dance - Living Music.”

Ginger Carlson - Administrator, Congress On Research for Dance, holds a BA in Social Work and Dance from Southern Illinois University and an MA in Dance from SUNY Brockport. She has taught Movement and Self-Awareness as an adjunct professor. She has shared her essays at the CORD and the National Dance Education Organization conferences and has been published in the Dance Research Journal.
